With the change in cancellation policy due to the Coronavirus Disney has started offering Restricted Guarantee fares on a large number of their summer cruises. This is in addition to the Canadian, Military, and Florida Resident discounts published yesterday.
If you are looking for a great rate for the summer you might be in luck.
The Restricted Guarantee stateroom categories are:
- IGT = Guaranteed Inside Stateroom with Restrictions – inside or better stateroom (minimum category 11C)
- OGT= Guaranteed Oceanview Stateroom with Restrictions – oceanview or better stateroom (minimum category 9D)
- VGT = Guaranteed Verandah Stateroom with Restrictions – verandah or better stateroom (minimum category 7A)
It means that you’ll be guaranteed a stateroom in that category (Inside, Oceanview of Verandah), but you will not get an assigned stateroom when you book. Your stateroom will be assigned to you nearer to the sail date.

First, because these categories are only released after the final payment date for a particular sailing, full payment is required at the time of booking.
