The Disney Magic Delayed Returning to San Diego

Disney Cruise Line's Disney Magic

Guests on the Disney Magic will be delayed returning to San Diego on November 2, 2023. The Disney Magic needed to return to Cabo San Lucas for a patient experiencing a medical Emergency.

Because of the delay, The Disney Magic will not arrive at port until 3:15 pm.

We wanted to provide you with an update on behalf of your clients currently sailing onboard the Disney Magic.

It was necessary to return to Cabo San Lucas last night to disembark a passenger who was experiencing a medical emergency. Because of this diversion, the ship’s arrival in San Diego on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023, will be delayed. Currently, we anticipate the ship’s arrival to be at 3:15 p.m. PT, with debarkation to begin no earlier than 4:00 p.m. PT.

At this time, we recommend that guests with flights out of Southern California scheduled on Thursday change their departure time to after 7:00 p.m. PT. Guests with Disney Cruise Line air arrangements will have their revised airline flight schedules delivered to their stateroom. Each stateroom will receive complimentary internet to make any necessary travel changes. Guests may also visit Guest Services for assistance in making a call to their air carrier if needed. This information has also been shared with your clients.

We appreciate your and your clients’ patience and understanding regarding this unavoidable situation and look forward to providing your clients with an enjoyable cruise experience the remainder of their voyage.

Disney Cruise Line is contacting passengers sailing on the 4-night Baja cruise leaving on November 2, 2023, with information about new Port Arrival Times.

Due to an emergency medical debarkation on our current cruise, the Disney Magic will have a delayed arrival into Port of San Diego tomorrow. At this time, we anticipate the ship will arrive at 3:15 p.m. with the onboard Guests needing to disembark before boarding for your clients’ sailing can begin.

Due to this unexpected delay, we are asking Guests to postpone their arrival to the terminal building by six hours tomorrow. Your clients’ port arrival time has been adjusted. All Guests who have already completed online check-in should redownload their mobile boarding pass or port arrival form before midnight this evening to display the updated port arrival time.

Guests with luggage may drop their luggage at the terminal building between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. should they wish to visit nearby area attractions until their new boarding time.

We anticipate sailing late on Thursday evening and ask that all Guests arrive no later than 8:30 p.m. at the terminal to complete the boarding process. Your clients’ stateroom is expected to be available at 7:30 p.m. and we recommend they bring a carry-on bag with essentials.

Additionally, because of the ship’s delayed arrival and the amount of time needed to sail to Cabo San Lucas, we are no longer able to call on the port as originally scheduled. Our revised itinerary is as follows:

Thursday, November 2 San Diego, California

Friday, November 3 Day at Sea

Saturday, November 4 Ensenada,Mexico

Sunday, November 5 Day at Sea

Monday, November 6 San Diego, California

Any Port Adventures pre-reserved in Cabo San Lucas will be removed from your clients’ Cruise Plans. Port Adventures for Ensenada, Mexico, may be booked once onboard through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.

As appreciation for your clients’ understanding of this necessary delayed arrival and itinerary change, a $300 non-refundable/non-transferrable onboard credit, per stateroom, will be issued to use toward shipboard purchases made during this sailing. Additionally, each Guest that sails on this revised itinerary will receive a 10% discount* on a future cruise reservation taken prior to November 2, 2025.

Should you have any questions, please contact us at 407-566-3457 ог 800-951-3532.

We look forward to welcoming your clients onboard the Disney Magic tomorrow evening.

Sincerely,

The Cast & Crew Disney Cruise Line

Update: Guests on departing on November 2 are to arrive no later than 8:30pm. Disney has replaced the Cabo San Lucas port with Ensenada. Guests will receive $300 of OBC per stateroom and 10% off a future cruise.
