Today, the Disney Dream began its westbound transatlantic cruise back to Florida, marking its first public sailing after completing a dry-dock renovation. Thanks to one of our readers, we have photos showcasing the ship’s newly updated spaces.
Major Enhancements
The most significant changes to the ship include:
- An increased number of concierge rooms
- An updated Hercules-themed concierge lounge
- The transformation of the forward funnel into the Dream Tower Suite
The Dream Tower Suite: A Magical Marvel
In a stunning tribute to the Disney Dream’s stern character, Sorcerer Mickey, the all-new, two-story funnel suite draws inspiration from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ classic film “Fantasia,” specifically the beloved “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” sequence (though enchanted brooms are, unfortunately, not included). This spectacular suite immerses guests in Sorcerer Mickey’s magical world through:
- Celestial-inspired surroundings
- Carpet designs that evoke flowing water
- A magnificent chandelier reminiscent of Mickey’s famous control of the waves
- Gilded features that complement the ship’s Art Deco motif
The Edge’s New Location
With the funnel’s transformation into the Tower Suite, The Edge has found a new home on Deck 5, adjacent to the Vibe. In its new location, guests aged 11-14 can now access outdoor spaces, including a pool area.
New Dining Option: Ramones Cantina
Adding to its diverse dining selections, the Disney Dream now features Ramones Cantina, a quick-service restaurant offering customizable Mexican cuisine on the pool deck. Guests can create their own:
- Tacos
- Bowls
Fill your creation with your choice of:
- Seasoned beef
- Chicken
- Rice
- Beans
- Fajita vegetables
Top it off with:
- Guacamole
- Salsa
- Sour cream
- Queso fresco
- Mexican cheese blend
