A Passenger on the Wonder Tests Positive for Coronavirus

The Biloxi Sun Herald is reporting that a woman who cruised on the Disney Wonder has tested positive for Coronavirus. She sailed February 27 until March 2 from New Orleans

The patient is a 74-year-old woman who had been on a Disney Wonder cruise ship to Mexico during Mardi Gras. The ship left its port in New Orleans on Feb. 27 and returned March 2. The woman’s daughter has also been sick, but has not been tested and is self-quarantined at home with her mother.

The Disney Wonder is currently sailing from New Orleans to San Deigo on its westbound Panama Canal Cruise. It is due to arrive in San Deigo one day early on Thursday, March 19, 2020. It is cutting the cruise short and bypassing Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas.

There is no word whether this diagnosis will affect the Wonders docking in San Deigo on Thursday. The rest of the fleet has already had the remainder of their cruises cancelled for 30 days.
