It won’t be long until we learn more about the Disney Treasure. Yesterday, the Disney Treasure embarked on its transatlantic journey from Eemshaven, Netherlands, to its future home in Port Canaveral, Florida. The trip will take two weeks, covering over 4,500 miles between the Disney Treasure and its destination. The ship’s first-ever port of call will be the beautiful city of Funchal, Portugal, where it will briefly stop before heading back to sea. During the crossing, final preparations will be made to ready the ship for its maiden voyage on December 21.
One of our readers has shared some photos of the atrium. It looks great; I like it better than the Disney Wish. The Atrium is also brighter than the concept pictures had made it appear.
Before the Maiden Voyage, the Disney Treasure will head to New York City to do some short sailings with travel industry members onboard. Keep checking here for the latest details on the ship, including menus.
