Disney Cruise Line increased their gratuities last night by $1.50. It is customary to give gratuities in recognition of exceptional service, which you’ll receive in abundance aboard the ship. The recommended gratuity is $16.00 per night, per stateroom guest, including infants and children.
Pre-paid gratuities are distributed to the crew members who take care of you in the following roles:
- Stateroom host
- Dining room server
- Dining room assistant server
- Dining room head server
The last time gratuities increased was July 2, 2022, from $13.50 to $14.50. If you have been on a Disney Cruise, you know the crew is worth the increase. If you have already pre-paid gratuities for an upcoming cruise, they are locked in at the previously recommended rates. However, you can increase gratuities once onboard by visiting Guest Services.
Gratuities for concierge cabins are increasing by $3.75, from $23.50 to $27.25.
To pre-pay optional gratuities, visit My Reservations in your Disney account and follow the prompts. If you booked your Disney cruise through a travel agent, please contact them to apply this payment.
For your convenience, if you do not pre-pay before boarding, we will automatically charge your onboard account the suggested optional gratuity amount per guest per night. Once onboard, you may visit Guest Services to adjust or remove optional gratuities.
Requests to refund pre-paid optional gratuities can only be processed in full back to the original form of payment, which may include payments made by a travel agent.
Not Included: Pre-paid optional gratuities do not include gratuities for:
- Extras added to rotational dining meals, such as alcoholic beverages
- Adult dining locations (Remy, Palo, Palo Steakhouse, and Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement)
- Food or drink in shops and outdoor or poolside eateries
- Room service
- Port Adventures
- Senses Spa & Salon
- Any other additional services
