Transatlantic and Some European Cruises Removed from Disney’s Online Bookings

The Disney has removed some cruises in May, June, and July on the Disney Magic. These include the transatlantic, Mediterranean, Greek Isles and the repositioning cruise to Dover.

Currently, both Italy and Spain are in lockdown due to the coronavirus. It is not surprising these cruises could be cancelled. Cruises after the repositioning cruise from Barcelona to Dover are still on the schedule at this time.

The cruises that have been removed are:

  • May 11, 2020, 12-Night Transatlantic Cruise from Miami
  • May 23, 2020, 7-Night Mediterranean Cruise from Barcelona
  • May 30, 2020, 7-Night Mediterranean Cruise from Barcelona
  • June 6, 2020, 7-Night Mediterranean Cruise from Barcelona to Civitavecchia
  • June 13, 2020, 9-Night Mediterranean Greek Isles Cruise from Civitavecchia
  • June 22, 2020, 9-Night Mediterranean Greek Isles Cruise from Civitavecchia
  • July 1, 2020, 12-Night Mediterranean Greek Isles Cruise from Civitavecchia
  • July 13, 2020, 5-Night Mediterranean Cruise from Barcelona
  • July 18, 2020, 7-Night Western Europe Cruise from Barcelona to Dover

I am not sure what this all means, but I would not be surprised if these cruises are cancelled. It leaves many questions. Will the Magic do some sailings from the US if ships are able to resume cruising? Will they do a transatlantic cruise in July?

Disney has already cancelled all cruises until April 13, 2020, and Vancouver has closed its ports to cruise ships until July 1, 2020.
